John Frieda Go Blonder shampoo is one product in a range of shampoos, conditioners and styling aids created by celebrity hairstylist John Frieda to amp up any shade of natural, color-treated or highlighted blond hair.

Function

Go Blonder shampoo does not dye your hair blond. Instead, it's meant to gradually brighten and lighten hair with regular use. Go Blonder shampoo is designed to make both naturally blond or color-treated blond hair lighter, or to bring out blond highlights, but it won't turn brunette hair to blond.

Features

Ammonia and peroxide-free, Go Blonder shampoo utilizes a complex of natural lightening ingredients--including chamomile--designed to gently remove darker pigments from the hair.

Directions for Use

Apply the shampoo to wet hair and gently massage into a rich lather, then rinse thoroughly. Johnfrieda.com suggests using the shampoo with its counterpart, Go Blonder conditioner, for best results. The Go Blonder shampoo formula is gentle enough for daily use.

Cost and Availability

You can purchase Go Blonder shampoo at mass retailers and drugstores nationwide, including Wal-Mart, Target, CVS Pharmacy and Ulta Beauty stores. Online retailers including Drugstore.com also sell the shampoo. As of August 2010, a 9.3 oz. bottle costs approximately $8.
