Types
Campgrounds in Thermopolis include the Fountain of Youth RV Park and Eagle RV Park and Campground. Both of these campgrounds have RV sites with full hookups, as well as rental cabins. Eagle RV Park has 45 RV sites, plus a separate grassy shaded area for tents. Fountain of Youth RV Park has about 60 RV sites, but it does not have tent campsites available.

Geography
Fountain of Youth RV Park is located on the north side of Thermopolis, just over the hill on the way out of town. Hot Springs State Park lies about five minutes away by car, with downtown about 10 minutes away. Eagle RV Park and Campground sits on the south side of town, closer to Wind River Canyon. Downtown lies five minutes away by car, while Hot Springs State Park requires a 10-minute drive.
Benefits
Whichever campground you choose to stay at while in Thermopolis, you'll enjoy quick access to the city's major attractions. Open for day use only, Hot Springs State Park invites you to relax with a soak in the healing mineral waters of the free State Bath House, or you can pay to play in hot water at one of the adjacent water parks. The Wyoming Dinosaur Center sits a short drive away from both campgrounds as well.
Size
Thermopolis has a population of about 3,200 people. Though small, the town offers all basic amenities, including grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants, medical facilities and churches. You can find natural foods and other natural products at Nature's Corner in downtown Thermopolis. Nu Vogue Salon and Day Spa offers massages and other spa treatments, while the Gottsche Rehabilitation Center provides massages as well.
Time Frame
Both Eagle RV Park and Campground and Fountain of Youth RV Park recommend that you make reservations long in advance, as campsites and cabins on both properties fill quickly. This holds particularly true during the summer season. Eagle RV Park and Campground is open from April through December. Fountain of Youth RV Park remains open all year.
