Trampoline enclosures can be an effective safety precaution to help keep your children safe while jumping. According to Trampoline Sales, "Fall-off injuries account for about 80 percent of the total injuries from trampoline use," so installing an enclosure net on your family's trampoline can be critical to keeping your children safe while at play.
Step 1
Spread out all parts so you can clearly see everything referenced in the instructions as you install the trampoline enclosure.
Step 2
Install the poles onto the lower legs of the trampoline. Depending on the model of the enclosure, you may need a screwdriver for attachments that are meant to secure the top net-enclosure poles to the bottom trampoline poles. Other enclosure brands will have snapping pole assembly, which are specifically built to fit the same brand trampoline.
Step 3
Unroll the net completely, spreading it out over the trampoline surface. Determine where you would like the door or net opening and arrange the net accordingly.
Step 4
Follow the manufacturer's instructions in installing your specific net to the supporting padded poles to ensure a snug fit. Fasten the enclosure net to each of the supporting poles, securely tying the connecting straps of the net to each corresponding pole.
Step 5
Double-check each pole and net attachment for a secure fit.
Tips and Warnings
- The support poles are padded for safety. This is not part of the manufacturer's packaging for shipping. Leave the padding on each of the support poles. Installation instructions may differ for your specific brand of enclosure.
- Even with the safety enclosure net installed, do not let your children jump on a trampoline unattended or unsupervised by an adult or guardian.
