If you love the smell of mocha and the feel of thick, rich body cream against your skin, make your own signature mocha body cream at home to use on yourself or to give away as birthday or Christmas gifts. You can either use chocolate and coffee essential oils to achieve a mocha scent, or use fresh coffee grounds and organic cocoa powder to create a mocha body cream with built-in exfoliating agents.

Essential Oil Mocha Body Cream

Step 1

Melt 3 tbsp. each shea butter and beeswax in the top of a double boiler over low heat. If you do not have a double boiler, place the ingredients in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave on the regular setting for approximately two to three minutes, stirring every 30 seconds to break up clumps.

Step 2

Add 4 oz. of a natural, organic oil, such as jojoba oil, olive oil, safflower oil, sunflower oil, apricot oil or sweet almond oil to the mixture and stir thoroughly.

Step 3

Add 10 drops each of coffee essential oil and chocolate essential oil to the mixture and stir thoroughly.

Step 4

Pour the mixture into a clean glass jar with a fitted lid, cover tightly and store in the refrigerator for up to two months.

Coffee and Cocoa Powder Mocha Body Cream

Step 1

Melt 6 tsp. beeswax in the top of a double boiler or in the microwave.

Step 2

Add 4 oz. of liquid coconut oil to the mixture and stir thoroughly.

Step 3

Add 1 tsp. each fresh coffee grounds and organic cocoa powder to the mixture and stir thoroughly.

Step 4

Pour the coffee and cocoa powder mocha body cream into a glass jar with a fitted lid, and cover tightly.

Step 5

Store the body cream in the refrigerator for up to two months.

Whipped Mocha Body Cream

Step 1

Melt 8 oz. cocoa butter on low heat in a small saucepan on the stove top until the butter liquefies, and then remove from heat.

Step 2

Add 3 tbsp. of olive or jojoba oil and 10 drops of vitamin E oil to the mixture and stir thoroughly.

Step 3

Add either 1 tsp. each of coffee grounds and cocoa powder or ten drops each coffee essential oil and chocolate essential oil to the mixture and stir thoroughly.

Step 4

Pour the mixture into a blender and blend on low speed for one to two minutes, or until the mixture whips up to your desired consistency.

Step 5

Use a large spoon to scoop out the whipped mocha body cream out of the blender, and place the cream into a glass jar with a fitted lid.

Step 6

Cover the jar tightly and store in the refrigerator for up to two months.
