Sole E35 Elliptical Review

Professional reviews of the Sole E35 elliptical trainer compare it to commercial-quality elliptical trainers. Simply Fitness Gear calls it a "smart choice," and the Exercise Equipment Expert calls it "one of the very few genuine bargains on the elliptical market."

Specs

The Sole E35 has a fixed 20-inch stride length and a maximum user weight limit of 375 lbs. The elliptical trainer itself weighs 200 lbs.

Resistance

The E35 has 20 levels of eddy current braking. Eddy current braking is the best resistance system possible for an elliptical trainer, because there are no moving parts to cause noise or present a risk of breakdown.

Features

Features of note on the Sole E35 include a built-in cooling fan, oversized foot pedals with a 2-degree inward slope, and a power incline ramp that adjusts between 15 and 40 degrees.

The E35 also has a hand-grip heart rate monitor and compatibility with wireless chest strap heart rate monitors, although it does not offer heart rate control programs.

Cost

As of August 2010, the Sole E35 retails for $1,299 direct from the manufacturer. Free shipping within the continental United States is included.
