Earwax, also known as cerumen, is an oily substance created by glands in the outer ear canal. It lubricates the ear and protects it by preventing foreign particles from reaching the eardrum. In some cases, excessive earwax can become impacted and cause issues such as hearing loss, congestion, ringing and pain in the ears. Similasan Ear Wax Relief is a glycerin-based ear drop that can be used to safely soften and remove excessive earwax.
Step 1
Lie down on your side or tilt your head, with the ear you are treating facing the ceiling.
Step 2
Remove the cap from the Similasan Ear Wax Relief applicator bottle. Hold the bottle above your ear and squeeze two to three drops of the medication into your ear.
Step 3
Keep your head tilted for several minutes to allow the medication time to work.
Step 4
Hold a tissue or towel over your ear and return to an upright position. The tissue will catch any drainage that may occur.
Tips and Warnings
