Garmin Oregon 400t Review

The Garmin Oregon 400t is a hand-held GPS navigation device. In addition to giving your location, the Oregon 400t monitors the surrounding barometric pressure and altitude, and features a directional compass.

Features

The Garmin Oregon 400t is waterproof and features a bright touchscreen display for visibility in strong sunlight. The unit arrives pre-loaded with both U.S. and European topographical maps, including an optional 3D view. Social adventurists can send their favorite routes and points of interest to other compatible Garmin devices with the 400t.

Specifications

The three-inch diagonal touchscreen has a display resolution of 240 by 400 pixels. The Oregon 400t measures 2.3 inches wide by 1.4 inches deep by 4.5 inches high. It weighs nearly seven ounces, including its two AA batteries. The battery life lasts up to 16 hours on a full charge.

Cost

Garmin's website lists a retail price of $499.99 for the Oregon 400t as of August, 2010. New units can be found online from $399.99 to $599.99. Used and refurbished units range from $249.99 to $425.
