The Life Fitness T9i is a home version of the Life Fitness treadmills, and it is designed for heavy, regular use. The T91 model is no longer in production, but you may still be purchase one new from some exercise equipment retailers. The $5,500 MSRP, as of August 2010, places it squarely at the high end of home treadmill prices.
Specs
The T9i has a 4.0 horsepower motor with a maximum speed of 12 mph. It also motor-adjusts from 0 percent to 15 percent incline. The machine itself weighs 430 lbs., and the maximum user weight limit is 400 lbs. The T9i must be plugged in to work.
Size
The T9i treadmill measures 83 inches long by 37 inches wide and 63 inches high. Its reversible, shock-absorbing running deck measures 20 inches wide by 60 inches long, large enough for tall runners not to feel cramped.
Features
The Life Fitness T9i offers 16 preprogrammed workouts, including three heart-rate control programs, plus training programs for 5K and 10K distances. The T9i also allows you to create up to seven personalized workouts. It has a built-in reading rack and accessory tray, and it is compatible with a wireless heart-rate monitor.
