Review of the Leupold RX-III Rangefinder

The Leupold RX-3 Rangefinder utilizes laser technology for quick and accurate range determination. The RX-3 has a digital display integrated into the viewfinder that appears as any one of 13 preloaded reticles as a center of aim.

Operation

The RX-3 is easy to use. By simply lining up your target in the range finder's crosshairs and pressing a button, a laser beam is sent to your target in the distance calibrated by the RX-3.

True Ballistic Range

The RX-3 delivers what Leupold calls "true ballistic range." Unlike other range finders that simply measure line of sight (a straight line from you to the target), the RX-3 has an inclinometer, which factors in the slope of the landscape to provide you a more accurate range.

Construction/Power

The RX-3 is constructed in the United States and housed in an armored rubber shell. The unit is completely waterproof and operates on one CR2 lithium battery.
