The Martinsville Speedway is the oldest racetrack on the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series tours. The 0.525-mile oval opened in 1948 and has maintained a place in today's modern NASCAR despite the fact that it is located in the humble town of Martinsville, Virginia. Many of the race fans who enjoy attending races at Martinsville Speedway also enjoy camping. They receive the best of both worlds when camping near the track.

Reserved Campgrounds

The Martinsville Speedway offers camping areas by reservations only. All Martinsville Speedway RV sites are 18 feet wide and 42 feet long. Martinsville has a handful of camping areas, such as the Backstretch Reserved Camping area, which is the campground located directly behind the backstretch of the racetrack. Located near the third turn of Martinsville Speedway is the Renewable Third Turn Reserved Camping area. The North Reserved Camping area is a nonrenewable area and is located to the left of the Main Campground. Tents are prohibited on all reserved camping sites.

General Admission Camping

Martinsville Speedway designates much of its camping area for general admission camping. For general admission camping, each ticket holder is allotted one lot space. Campers may bring tents to the general admission camping areas. With general admission camping, you can pay once you enter the facility.

Reservations

There is no need to contact the ticket office for general admission camping if you have already purchased a ticket. However, if you intend to camp at one of the reserved locations, you can reach the ticket off by dialing 1-877-722-3849. It is best to reserve your camping area months in advance. Martinsville Speedway holds NASCAR races in April and in October of each year.
