Acne and blemishes are extremely common skin problems. And while they sometimes require medical treatment, you may also help heal them with a homemade mask that can remove impurities and soak up the excess oil that can lead to clogged pores. If you suffer from severe acne or any other chronic skin condition, check with your doctor or dermatologist before using these, or any, DIY treatments.

Apply the mask over your face, avoiding your eyes, lips and nostrils. Leave the mixture on for 10 to 15 minutes and rinse thoroughly with warm water, recommends “Good Housekeeping.” The cucumber slices help cool your face reducing inflammation from blemishes, while the oats and wheat bran help exfoliate your skin, removing dead skin cells and surface bacteria that contribute to breakouts.
