The Lifespan Fitness S2 indoor bike has a heavy flywheel designed to simulate the feel of pedaling a real bike. Its minimalist construction means there's no electronics console, but it has standardized components that let you swap out the stock seat and pedals for your own.
Adjustments
You modify the bike's resistance by turning a knob, located prominently below the handlebars, which adjusts the felt friction pads against the S2's heavy flywheel. The seat and handlebars both adjust vertically and horizontally.
Specs
The S2 Indoor Bike measures 44 inches long by 44 inches high by 22 inches wide. It weighs 97 lbs., 40 lbs. of which are the flywheel. It has a 300-lb. maximum user weight limit.
Price
As of August 2010, the Lifespan Fitness S2 has an MSRP of about $800. It comes with a 5-year frame warranty, 1-year parts and labor warranty and a 90-day guarantee on the friction pad, seat and pedals.
