The Stamina InMotion E1000 elliptical trainer is an unusual miniature elliptical trainer; it greatly resembles a mini stepper, but the pedals move on a small elliptical path instead of an up-and-down stair-stepping motion. As of August 2010, the Stamina E1000 retails for about $200 direct from the manufacturer.
Specs
The Stamina E1000 has a 20-inch by 12-inch footprint and weighs 24 lbs. It has a maximum user weight limit of 250 lbs. It comes with a 1-year warranty on the frame and 90 days of coverage for parts.
Features
As a mini elliptical trainer, the E1000 does not have upper-body workout arms. But it does have an LCD screen that displays total strides, strides per minute, time exercised and estimated calories burned. The E1000 has adjustable resistance, and you can pedal it both forward and backward.
Safety
The Stamina E1000 doesn't have handlebars or side rails for you to hold onto for stability, so you might want to set it up near a wall or sturdy piece of furniture you can lean on for support until you're used to the motion. The frame is made of steel, and the foot pedals are non-slip.
