Slazenger is a British sporting goods manufacturer that produced its first golf ball in 1891, the “Guttie.” The company is recognized by its famous panther logo, first registered in 1963. The balls are highly regarded, with several professional players winning major tournaments using Slazenger balls.

Distance and Feel

Slazenger produces several types of balls ranging from its Raw Distance models to its Players and Money models. The Raw Distance balls are known to be durable and fly true and long. The Money model does not provide as much carry but has much more feel and ability to be controlled, while still maintaining durability. The Players ball is long and has tremendous spin.

Performance and Specifications

Solid-center technology provides the increased distance over its liquid-core predecessors; however, the Slazenger balls have maintained their feel and spin. Slazenger’s multilayer wound balls are equipped with big solid cores, a layer of elastomer windings and a urethane cover.

Level of Play

The Slazenger ball has become a reasonable option for any amateur golfer. Formerly used regularly by professional tournament champions, Slazenger balls are now underrated, due to the minimal marketing done in past years. Primarily targeting country-club markets, Slazenger has now pushed to get its balls in off-course and sporting goods stores.
