Originally sold in 2005, the front-drive Horizon Fitness CSE2 Club Series elliptical trainer has since been discontinued. The CSE2 itself is self-powered; you don't need to plug it in to exercise, so there's no hidden extra cost of electricity to run it. But the console does require two "AA" batteries.
Resistance
The CSE2 offers 16 levels of motor-adjusted magnetic resistance. Control the resistance directly via buttons on the electronic console, or select one of four pre-programmed workouts to adjust the resistance automatically for you.
Heart Rate
The CSE2 has a built-in hand grip heart rate monitor and is compatible with a wireless chest strap heart rate monitor, too. It also has one heart rate control program, which adjusts the elliptical resistance automatically to keep you within a target heart rate zone.
Warranty
If you are the original owner of a Horizon CSE2, your machine has a lifetime frame warranty and 12-year brake system warranty. As is standard practice in the fitness equipment industry, this warranty does not transfer to the second owner.
