Places like the Bear Hollow Wildlife Trail in Athens, Georgia are open from 9:00 a.m. until sunset everyday. You and your young ones can walk along winding paths that lead to wildlife exhibits and see animals that range from flying birds of prey to exotic amphibians. Afterwards, enjoy a nice picnic at one of the many shelters that surround the playground area.

Your kids can enrich their minds while also enjoying a vacation. Georgia has low-cost outings that mix entertainment with learning. At the Fernbank Science Center located in Atlanta, Georgia, $20 will allow two adults and three children to enjoy an all-day exploration and learning experience. The center suggests a visit on a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday, so that you will be able to walk along 1 and 1/2 miles of forest trails, gaze into space through the largest telescope in the Southeastern United States, and enjoy the planetarium.
Theme Parks

Generally the park gates open at 6:00 a.m. and close at midnight; however, certain attractions within the park may have different hours of operations. To make sure your family can play from sunup to sundown be sure to check the website and verify the hours for attractions that you would like to visit.
Historic Fun
Helen Georgia is a Northeast Georgia town that's rich in history and full of vibrant attractions. Helen has recreated an alpine village with cobblestone walkways, clear creeks, and old world towers. To get there, you have to travel through the winding path of Blue Ridge Mountains. Outside of gasping at the unique sights, your little ones will have the chance to go water tubing, horse back riding, and more.
The average family of two adults and three children can expect to spend anywhere from $100 and up on food and activities. Be sure to wear comfortable clothes and have shoes that can endure the walk up steep alleyways. Although there are several stores and shops, this is definitely a place where outdoor attractions rule. You can arrive as early as 8:00 a.m. and leave as late as midnight, and in case the drive home seems too far, don't worry; Helen has beautiful log cabin lodges available.
Island Getaway
Tybee Island is located 18 miles east of Savannah, Georgia, and is guaranteed to give you and your kids the chance to feel as if you've traveled to a true adventure island.
