As of August 2010, Field & Stream was producing two paddles for kayakers. One features fiberglass construction and the other is made of aluminum.

Features

Both the fiberglass and aluminum kayak paddles are available in sizes ranging from 210 to 230 centimeters. They each feature a two-piece, take-apart design with asymmetrical blades and drip rings.

Cost

You can find either both paddles by Field and Stream online or in stores at Dick's Sporting Goods exclusively . As of August 2010, the aluminum paddles sold for around $60 while the fiberglass paddle was about $80

Aesthetics

The lighter fiberglass paddle is available in your choice of a yellow or orange blade with a black shaft and black grips while the aluminum paddle is available with a red or white blade and a gray aluminum shaft with black grips.
