Las Vegas is known as Sin City, and people often think of Vegas as a place strictly for grownups. However, for young teens accompanying their parents on a vacation to Vegas, there are plenty of healthy activities to keep them from lounging around the hotel room with nothing to do.
AdventureDome at Circus Circus
The AdventureDome at Circus Circus is a great place for teens to visit while in Las Vegas. Parents can enjoy a relaxing game of golf, while teens have a fun-filled time in this indoor amusement park. The AdeventureDome provides a five-acre complex packed with entertainment, including many rides and carnival games. It also features a rock climbing wall for children to exercise their physical and mental skills as they try to reach the top. Kids can also enjoy a fun game of miniature golf.
CSI: The Experience
The MGM Grand resort offers young teens an experience they will never forget. It's a CSI experience that allows them to become official crime scene investigators. Kids will get to exercise their mind and perform an investigation. The experience begins at the lab area where teens will learn scientific techniques needed to solve crimes. Kids will then get to choose from three crime scenes and take over the investigation. They will learn about DNA, evidence and everything needed to solve a real crime. This is a perfect activity for young teens, as it's created for kids ages 12 or older.
Red Rock Canyon
Red Rock Canyon offers families a great hiking experience for young teens. The scenery is absolutely gorgeous. There are positive reviews under the website Trip Advisor, and one woman explains that the view is too beautiful for words. Another great thing about Red Rock Canyon is that it's just minutes from the Las Vegas Strip.
Stratosphere Las Vegas
The Stratosphere is a great hotel for young teens, as traveling to the top of the Stratosphere tower is exciting in itself. However, once kids get to the top, it's whats up there that is really a thrill. For teens unafraid of heights, they can test their willpower on the Big Shot, which is the world's highest thrill ride. The Big Shot shoots riders 160 feet straight up, and as they are at the top of the tower, they are 1,081 feet above the Las Vegas Strip. There is also the Insanity, which is a mechanical arm that extends a whopping 64 feet off the edge of the tower as it spins. Finally, there is the X-Scream, which is a teeter-totter that will surely raise a person's heart rate, as it sends riders 27 feet over the edge of the tower and back up again. So, for those teens who have a thing for thrill rides and can handle the adrenaline, this is the place to visit.
Fremont Street
Fremont Street is a place that everyone should visit in Vegas, including young teens. It's beautiful and it's a great place to get discounts on Las Vegas souvenirs. While walking Fremont Street, kids will surely enjoy the incredible light show that plays a different theme every hour. When the outside casino lights shut off, people will know the show is about to begin.
