Life Fitness Elliptical X3 Review

The Life Fitness X3 elliptical offers the advantages of a gym elliptical in the comfort of the home. More than a basic elliptical machine, this machine offers customizable workouts as well as electronic readouts.

Console

Two versions of the X3 elliptical exist. The basic workout console consists of five workout programs and heart rate readouts. The advanced workout console features more advanced features such as 10 workout programs, two user profiles and a race mode.

Specifications

The X3 elliptical supports users up to 350 pounds. The stride length is set at 20 inches. The X3's oversized pedals contain comfort foam.

Comfort

Featuring WhisperStride technology, the X3 produces a fluid motion while staying quiet. The handlebars are equipped with ErgoGrip technology, which stabilize the lower body during workouts.

Costs

As of the summer of 2010, if bought directly from the manufacturer, the basic X3 elliptical would cost $2,699. Upgrade to the advanced version of the machine and it will cost $2,999.

Warranty

Life Fitness offers a lifetime warranty on the X3 elliptical frame. Parts are covered with a three-year warranty and labor is covered with a one-year warranty.
