The Ab Roller has been around for over 15 years. Extra features and some new design developments have been added, but the basic design of the unit hasn't changed. The Ab Roller supports your head and neck as you do crunches on the floor. As you curl forward, the device rocks on its frame to assist you in maintaining good crunching form. You can add resistance on some models. Once you receive your Ab Roller, you will have to assemble it. All parts are included with the unit; you only need a screwdriver.
Step 1
Attach the head rest. Use two screws and washers to attach the head rest to the lower frame bar.
Step 2
Insert the arm rests into the lower bar. Lay the lower bar on the floor with the head rest facing up. Slide one arm rest onto each side of the lower bar. Secure with two screws.
Step 3
Attach the overhead bar to the other end of the arm rests. Slide the overhead bar onto the ends of the arm rests. Use two screws to secure the overhead bar.
Step 4
Assemble the Pro-Assist Spring. Some Ab Roller models feature this spring which provides additional resistance. Place the nylon cover over the spring. Make sure the small opening is on top. Position the protective cap over the casing and spring.
Step 5
Attach the Pro-Assist Spring to the back of the head rest with a short screw.
Step 6
Ensure all screws are tight before using your Ab Roller.
Tips and Warnings
- Instead of screws, some Ab Roller models use clamps to attach the arm rests to the lower bar. The assembly is still the same--just slide the clamps onto the lower bar before attaching the arm rests.
