San Francisco is known for its year-round mild temperatures, majestic landscapes and health-oriented lifestyle. San Francisco features three 9-hole public golf courses for residents and visitors to play a brisk or leisure game of golf.
According to a Swedish medical research study published in the Scandinavian Journal of Medicine and Science in Sports, golfers live longer. The study notes that life expectancy of low-par golfers increases up to five years compared to the general population and it found that physical activity associated with golf was a likely factor in the increase.
