Surf San Diego
Surfing is a San Diego pastime that must be experienced to be fully understood. Beyond the connection with the elemental forces of water is the determination it will take to get on your feet and stay on the surfboard. A one-and-a-half-hour lesson will get you on your way toward that goal. Since you won't want a day this connected with nature to end, you can pack a picnic and make a day of enjoying the outdoors at Santa Clarita Point Community Park, right across the street from your surfing lessons. Visitors come from far and wide to enjoy the park for painting sessions, hula lessons and wood carving groups, all with a beautiful view of Mission Bay.
