Exciting games for kids are designed to help keep kids entertained and engaged during their free time. Although many exciting games are based around sports and extreme activities, other exciting games utilize a child's imagination and creativity. Exciting games for kids can be played with other children or individually, if your child so desires.

Traffic Cop

This game should be performed on a regular residential street, making sure that both sides of the street are blocked off to prevent random traffic from entering. Have a group of kids enter the designated street area with any type of vehicle. Kids can bring bikes, trikes or even scooters to the street. Put on a traffic cop's outfit and stand in the middle of the street directing traffic. Let the kids ride at any speed they like, although it is important that they pay attention to your directions and specific signals. According to Wired, the game is designed to be fun and also teach kids about crossing the street.

Heads Up Seven Up

This classic kids game is designed to keep kids entertained in an indoor or outdoor setting. Have a group of kids sit down at their desks with their heads down. Have seven kids stand at the top of the class and wait for everyone else to cover their eyes. Have each one of the seven kids go out and tap one of the kids sitting down at a desk. After they have finished, tell the kids who are sitting down to lift up their heads and try to guess who touched them. If a kid guesses correctly, he gets to switch places with the kid who tagged him. If he guesses wrong, the kids do not switch places.

Simon Says

This is another classic kids game designed to keep kids of all ages amused and excited. Have a group of kids sit in a straight line and wait for your instructions. Choose one of the kids to be "Simon", and have her call out different commands and instructions, prefacing each command with "Simon says." The last kid to execute the command is out of the game. If Simon asks you to perform an action without saying "Simon says," then you are supposed to not do it. If you perform the action anyways you will be considered out of the game. The last player standing is the winner and will become Simon in the next round.
