Brother produces a line of laser printers designed for use at home or in a business environment. These printers come in a variety of shapes and sizes, and each has its own specific set of features, many of which are user-configurable. If certain settings are not providing the desired results, you may find it preferable to reset the setting to its factory default, rather than attempting to make manual adjustments. Different models of Brother printer have different reset procedures, and you may need to experiment with several to find the one that works best with your machine.

Restart And Reset

Step 1

Set the printer's power switch to the “off” position. Examine the printer cover and confirm that it is securely closed. Trace the power cord to its electrical outlet and confirm that the plug is in place.

Step 2

Hold down the printer's “go” button, located on the device's control panel. Set the power switch to the “on” position and wait for the printer to begin powering up.
