The North Face Surge backpack is a moderate-sized daypack filled with features. In addition to being approved by the American Chiropractic Association, the Surge is available in a variety of colors that help give it mass appeal.
Features
The Surge backpack has FlexVent injection-molded shoulder straps, a padded Airmesh back with spine channel, a padded hip belt, and a BackSaver bottom panel. Other features include a zippered laptop pocket, a zippered power cord pocket and an electronics organization pocket. It is available in your choice of black, zinc gray, weimaraner brown, chili pepper red and asphalt gray or deep water blue and mountain blue.
Storage
The North Face Surge backpack has a storage capacity of 2015 cubic inches. The storage area is split between a large main compartment, where the dedicated laptop pocket is, and a smaller secondary pocket with a series of smaller organizational pockets. It also has two mesh water bottle pockets and an electronics pocket on the front.
Cost
As of August 2010, the Surge backpack was available for $115. It can be found at thenorthface.com and in stores at various retailers.
