As people grow older, the collagen in their skin breaks apart and lines begin to form. Commercial anti-aging creams make promises to heal and repair damage from years of sun exposure and aging. However, most over-the-counter creams are expensive and contain chemicals that may affect your body in other ways. For a natural solution, consider a homemade cream that is free of preservatives and contains essential ingredients, such as honey. The website Benefits of Honey reports this natural product provides healing through enzymes that function as antioxidants that reduce the signs of aging.

Step 1

Fill a large baking pan with hot water. Create a double-boiler system by placing a smaller pan or glass bowl inside the water. Set both pans on the stove and turn the burner to low.

Step 2

Place the beeswax into the small pan and allow it to melt.

Step 3

Set the flower water and honey into a second pan and heat on low while the beeswax melts.

Step 4

Add the Shea butter to the melted wax. Pour the butter in slowly while stirring to mix.

Step 5

Combine the almond and wheat germ oils into the wax. Stir until the compound becomes creamy.

Step 6

Watch the warming mixtures. Both should be heated throughout but not boil. When both pans become hot, start adding the contents of the honey pan into the first mixture, pouring 1 drop at a time.

Step 7

Use an electric mixer to blend the products while you pour. Place the beaters into the wax and hold the mixer with one hand as you pour with the other.

Step 8

Remove the pan from the heat. Stir the compound while it cools. Blend the myrrh and jasmine oils into the cooled cream.

Step 9

Move the cream from the pan into a glass jar. Cover the jar, and store.
