"Body for Life for Women" by Dr. Pamela Peeke is a follow-up to the popular weight loss book "Body For Life" by Bill Philips. In this volume, designed specifically for women, Peeke aims to provide a "doable daily plan of action that will produce sustainable results in 12 weeks."

Basics

The first three parts of "Body for Life for Women" lay the groundwork for body and mind transformation. Peeke addresses how to begin your quest for fitness along with detailed information on the specific hurdles women face when trying to lose or maintain weight. She also introduces the 10 Body for Life for Women Power Mind Principles, designed to mentally prepare the reader to make healthy changes.

Nutrition

The fourth part of the book is titled "Mouth: The Body for Life for Women Eating Method." Peeke outlines her nutritional advice which includes her prescribed "special diet of Woman Food" to provide "the secret edge, with energy-enhancing Smart fats, carbs and proteins."

Exercise

Finally, in part five, "Muscle: The Body for Life for Women Training Method," Peeke presents the benefits of exercise and a workout plan. She asserts that "Vitamin I --intensity--will shorten up workouts while making them way more efficient and effective."
