According to Gregory Brown, author of "About Face: A Plastic Surgeon's 4-Step Nonsurgical Program for Younger, Beautiful Skin," certain yoga exercises can improve the health of your skin. The skin is the body's largest organ, and holding yoga postures for 40 to 60 seconds amplifies the oxygen-filled blood throughout the entire body, which leads to more oxygen replenished skin. Observe the glow in your skin after you release from a yoga pose and how your "skin turns pink with added blood," says Brown.

Child's Pose

Stress can dull the skin with the tensions and strain put on the body. According to YogaJournal.com, child's pose remedies stress. Kneel on your shins. Touch the knees and sit your hips back onto your heels. Lower your forehead to the ground and bring your arms alongside your thighs with your palms facing up. Stay for 60 seconds. Child's pose increases circulation to your brain and enhances your digestive systems' activity.

Standing Forward Fold

Stimulating the liver and kidneys naturally detoxifies the body, which leads to a more balanced system and helps keep your skin healthy. Moving from standing to forward fold pose stimulates your liver and kidneys. Stand with your feet hip-distance apart. Bend your knees slightly as you fold your torso over your legs. Release your head and any tension in your neck. Let your arms fall in front of your toes. Stay for 60 seconds. Standing forward fold pose also relieves stress and decreases fatigue and anxiety.

Bridge Pose

To increase circulation to your brain, improve circulation and elongate your spine practice bridge pose. Lie on your back. Bring your arms alongside your thighs with your palms facing down. Bend your knees and move your heels as close to your butt as possible. Press the soles of your feet into the ground and raise your hips toward the ceiling. Hold bridge pose for 40 seconds and then release your hips back down to the floor. Bridge pose is used in therapeutic applications for stress relief and improves your digestion.
