Your facial movements depend entirely on tiny muscles situated just below your skin. As you age, the muscles of your face may begin to sag and lose shape. Facial exercises for the cheekbones and face may help firm and tone your cheeks to give you a more youthful appearance. In fact, every time you work with your facial muscles, you increase circulation to your face 10 times, according to an article in "Time."

Cheeks

This cheek exercise helps tighten the muscles of your cheeks to reduce the appearance of fine lines or wrinkles. You should look in a mirror in order to better see what you are doing when performing this exercise. Smile widely with your mouth closed and the corners of your lips turned up. Reach the corners of your mouth toward your ears and wrinkle your nose. You should be able to see your cheek muscles as they move upward. Hold for 5 seconds, and then relax. Repeat 10 times.

The Satchmo

This facial yoga exercise helps keep your cheeks firm for a more youthful appearance. Puff up both of your cheeks with as much air as you can. Transfer the air back and forth from cheek to cheek until you are out of breath. Repeat 3 times.

Marilyn

This facial yoga exercise is named after the famous Marilyn Monroe pout. It keeps your lips strong and full and your brow smooth and wrinkle-free. Keep your brow smooth and blow kisses, extending your lips out as you kiss. Repeat 4 times, and then press your first two fingers to your lips. Relax and repeat 3 times.

Bumblebees

The bumblebees exercise is a facial yoga exercise that works to tighten your cheeks, lips and jaw. Inhale deeply through your nose and begin making a chewing sound as you make a chewing motion with your jaw. Vibrate the "mmm" sound through your nose as you exhale and continue to chew. Repeat for 4 breaths.

Lips

This cheek and lips exercise helps you have stronger cheek muscles for a more youthful face. Extend your lips out as far as you can, making an "O" shape with your mouth. While stretching your mouth forward, smile as wide as possible. Hold your smile for 1 second, and then return to the "O" shape. Repeat 10 times.
