You can prepare for your twin baby boys' entrance into the world by stocking up on the equipment, necessities and conveniences that will make your life just a little bit easier. Twin baby boys will keep new parents busy around the clock but will also be a great source of pleasure to family and friends. The number of items you purchase may depend on the space you have available in your home.

Clothes

Your budget may determine where you shop for your twin baby boys' clothes. Since babies grow out of clothes so quickly, you can find great bargains at garage sales or thrift shops, and parents often participate in clothes swaps to help each other with this financial burden. One-piece outfits and sleeper outfits with enclosed feet are great for newborns. Undershirts, pants, T-shirts and little sweat outfits are comfortable for baby boys. Diapers are a necessity, of course, and double the usual amount will be needed.

Nursery

Cribs are a basic need because your babies will sleep in them for two to three years. Crib sheets and bedding with boy themes including animal prints, cars or trucks, and cartoon figures are popular. Infants like to be swaddled in blankets, and receiving blankets as well as thicker blankets will be useful. Dressers, hampers, a changing table and a rocking chair are all helpful for baby care.

Feeding

Breastfeeding cuts down on the supplies need for feeding a newborn, since your babies can get most of their nourishment from the breast milk. If you choose to bottle-feed your twin baby boys, you will need bottles, sterilizing equipment and baby formula. A few months down the line, you can start pureeing fruits and vegetables, although baby food in jars is still very popular for its convenience. Baby-size spoons, unbreakable bowls and plates, as well as sippy cups, are all mealtime necessities.

Car Seats

Hospitals require you to have a car seat before your babies can leave the hospital, and every time you travel in a vehicle, the babies should be safely strapped in their car seats. Car seats are available in sizes that are targeted for the weight of the baby, and some can be detached from a stroller for the convenience of two pieces of equipment in one. Car seats now come with fabric in fashionable colors and prints.

Home Equipment and Toys

Baby swings, bouncy seats, high chairs and playpens are all types of home equipment that are available to keep your babies safe and give them enjoyment. There are blankets with musical toys attached and age-appropriate toys for infants and older babies. Reading is a favorite thing to do for both parents and babies. Reading a book to your twin baby boys is both relaxing and educational even at a very young age.
