For some people, it is hard to make a good, female friend. For men, it may be difficult for them to show that they only desire a platonic friendship and women may be apprehensive when entering new friendship circles. With a positive attitude and confidence, making female friends can be easy.

Step 1

The simplest way to make a new female friend is to ask her up front to spend time together. Be sure that you ask her to do something that is friendly in nature and doesn't suggest anything beyond platonic friendship. Be up front and choose a time and place.

Step 2

Join a community class. Sign up for a weekly class and be very friendly and approachable. Cooking, knitting, running, yoga and dancing classes are all great places to meet new female companions.

Step 3

Meet new women in your workplace. Invite someone to join you on your lunch break and get to know them. If everything goes well, make it a daily or weekly event.

Step 4

Walk your dog at a local park. Walking your dog is a great way to meet women. Go several times a week and establish yourself as a regular. Several small conversations could lead to an eventual friendship.

Step 5

Go to public places such as the gym and don't be afraid to create small talk with others.

Step 6

Join GirlFriendCircles.com. You will be matched with local women's groups where you can meet new people and make new friends. Participate in as many events as you can and don't be afraid to go up and introduce yourself to someone new.
