Eating the recommended amounts of vitamins and minerals every day can improve your health. If the food you eat is not providing all the essential vitamins and minerals that you need, you might consider taking a multivitamin and mineral supplement to bridge the gap. Vitamins and minerals in organic supplements come from natural ingredients. This makes them easier for the body to absorb than isolated synthetic nutrients.

Nature's Way

Nature's Way claims that its supplements, such as Alive Multi-Vitamin (No-Iron), have more invigorating nutrients from more natural sources than any other product. It provides 29 essential vitamins and minerals, including over 1000 percent of the daily value for vitamin C, thiamin, vitamin B6, vitamin B12 and pantothenic acid. It also contains amino acids, digestive enzymes and omega fatty acids. The Alive Multi-Vitamin (No-Iron) contains whole food blends, including a garden veggie blend, an orchard fruits blend and an organic mushroom blend. The citrus bioflavonoid complex may promote immune health, and antioxidants like lutein and rutin might promote heart health. Your body is able to absorb this daily supplement quickly for maximum effects. The Food and Drug Administration has not evaluated this supplement's safety or claims.

Nutrilite

Nutrilite's Double X Multi Vitamin/Mineral/Phytonutrient is a set of three tablets that you are supposed to take daily. This supplement has 12 vitamins and ten minerals in addition to phytonutrients from 20 different plant concentrates such as cranberry, broccoli and kale. Phytonutrients are nutrients in plants, and some may act as antioxidants to prevent DNA damage and decrease the risk of heart disease. Possible benefits of this supplement also include improved liver enzyme activity and better eye, skin, heart and bone health. It also claims to deliver energy all day. The Food and Drug Administration has not verified these health claims. This supplement is free from substances that the World Anti-Doping Agency has banned, and so athletes can consider taking this supplement. The Double X is also free from sugar, yeast, wheat and soy ingredients.

Rainbow Light

Rainbow Light makes its Certified Organics Men's Multivitamin from organic fruits and vegetables. The three main claims are enhanced longevity, strength and energy. These daily capsules deliver all of the essential vitamins and many minerals. It also has enzymes for digestive support. The herbs for liver support and strength and energy include ginseng, milk thistle, ginger, muira puama root and green tea extract. This supplement is free from artificial colors and sweeteners and other "objectionable additives." It is also free from many allergenic foods like nuts, soy and wheat. The Food and Drug Administration does not independently verify supplement nutrition facts and health claims, and so you should be careful when choosing a supplement for health purposes.
