Dieting can seem very complex, especially with the vast array of diets, diet books and diet advice available. You may feel as if you're being told to eat or not eat something new every time you turn around. Luckily, even people who don't want to bother with so much information can eat better and lose weight. If you're looking for diets for lazy people, a few simple rules can set you on your way.

Raw Fruit

Next time you head to the store, avoid purchasing sweets like candy, cookies and ice cream, and instead head to the produce section. Raw fruit is a great sweet treat that also contains vital nutrients, including vitamins, fiber and water. Choose two or three of your favorites or try something new. Keeping fruit in the house instead of sweets will help you grab the healthier option whenever you're feeling hungry---no matter how lazy you feel.

Healthy Fats

Not all fats are created equal. According to MayoClinic.com, increasing your intake of omega-3 fatty acids can help lower triglyceride levels and help fix bad cholesterol. Omega-3s also contribute to heart health. Good sources of omega-3 fatty acids include fish and nuts. If you're feeling too lazy to add omega-3-packed foods to your diet, however, you can also take the easy route and add a fish oil supplement to your daily routine.

Dump Soft Drinks

Each 12-oz. can of soda you finish contains about 150 calories, according to Changing Shape. For a diet change even the laziest person can make, stop buying or drinking soda and replace it with water or juices made with 100 percent fruit. Although the juice also contains calories, it contains fewer of them, and it also offers vitamins and other nutrients your body needs to run at its best.
