Bandaging and taping is a skill used by athletic trainers to protect and manage the injuries of athletes. Athletes and recreational exercisers wrap the balls of their feet to prevent or protect and injury, and to provide additional cushion. You'll need to follow a few simple techniques to ensure you wrap the balls of your feet correctly. If you are unsure of how to wrap your feet, enlist the help of a physical therapist or athletic trainer.
Step 1
Apply a long strip of full-width athletic tape, adhesive side up on the floor.
Step 2
Place the ball of your foot at a right angle and onto the athletic tape. Place the injured portion of your foot at the center of the tape.
Step 3
Flatten your foot onto the tape and make it as wide as possible.
Step 4
Lift the ends of the tape up and overlap them on the top of your foot.
Step 5
Cut both ends of the tape an inch from the top of your foot on both sides. Fasten the tape onto the top of your foot.
