Finding a new job requires a lot of work and effort. One of the things you need to do is prepare for your job interviews. A job interview is your chance to show potential employers you can fulfill the job requirements and make a positive contribution to the company. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics recommends you prepare for your job interview by practicing your responses to expected interview questions.
It's Not Really About You
The most commonly asked job interview question, according to Job Interview Questions, is to tell the interviewer something about yourself. This seems like a good question to answer with some pieces of personal information but it is not. You should answer this question with only things related to your work experiences, skills and successes. Generally you can begin with the oldest things you want to include and then move your way forward. Practice your answer to this question before your interview.
Motivation
Another area that interviewers will often ask you about is what motivates you to be successful or work hard. This is an opportunity to discuss ways you excelled in your past jobs and what drove you to be successful. Your answer should include things about your desire to challenge yourself and how achievement drives you to always perform your best. Do not say that you only work hard when you are asked to or expected to.
Experience
Almost every job interviewer will ask about what experience you have that relates to the position you are applying for. To answer this question you first need to research the position you are being interviewed for. Once you know what skills the interviewer is looking for, you want to describe your specific experience in these areas. When you don't have direct experience, you can mention similar related skills or experiences that you have had in previous jobs.
