Stress is the environment affecting the individual. Every person responds to stress in his own way. Learning to manage stress is key to surviving in any environment. There are different levels of stress and survival. There is local stress, such as work and at home. A high level of stress is a soldier at war. You can train and management your stress and your skills to survive in any environment.
Stress
Stress can be a very powerful thing can make or break a person. Psychological stress to one person may not be stress at all to another. There are many factors and reasons for how individuals perceive and develop stress, such as genetics, healthy environment as growing up as a child, safe or unsafe neighborhood, money, work environment, companions to cope with and others. Consider that an individual may deal with stress from a simple situation because of many things adding up at the moment. The experience of stress in the past magnifies your reactivity to stress in the future.
Management
An individual can manage to deal with stress. Since individuals react to stresses in unique ways management also becomes specified. First find the root of the stress and target the issue. This part becomes difficult for many because the stress can come from a high level of dramatic experiences. Move on to the smaller things that are piling up like stress boxes if the main issues are too difficult. Find a balance of work/school, life, and family. Balance is the key because focusing on one issue can lead to the other issues getting worse. Physical exercise is one of the best stress managements. Exercise produces the fight or flight syndrome related to stress. Your body will fight stress hormones during exercise.
Survival
Survival does not just have to mean staying physically alive. Dealing with stress is also a way to survive any given situation. Survival skills training will help your rate of survival physically and mentally. The U.S. Army Survival Evade Resist Escape School trains soldiers the skills to survive and the experience of dealing with high level stress. The skills include making a fire, finding food and water, land navigation, hiding and evading techniques, and prisoner of war experience. Life in general was less stressful for me after Survival School. It was mentioned earlier that past experience will magnify future reactions.
