With the rise of obesity and market saturation of processed and enriched foods, people are searching for healthy eating alternatives that can help them lose weight fast. Raw food diets provide just the solution. Natural foods, like fruits, vegetables, nuts and uncooked meat are easier for our bodies to metabolize, meaning less wear and tear on the digestive system says Kim Evans, the author of "Cleaning Up! The Ultimate Body Cleanse." This in turn leads to more efficient calorie processing and can help you lose weight within the month.
Step 1
Eat 600 to 850 calories of fruit, oatmeal, granola and milk before 9 a.m., recommends Daniela Jakubowicz MD, author of "The Big Breakfast Diet: Eat Big Before 9 A.M. and Lose Big for Life."
Step 2
Lunch on at least 500 calories coming primarily from fruit, vegetables, legumes and meat. Use lettuce wraps instead of bread or tortilla, which add extra calories with low nutritional value. If you can't resist making a sandwich, choose bread that doesn't contain fructose corn syrup or bleached flour.
Step 3
Enjoy a steak, sushi or other type of meat dinner. Eat at least 6 oz. of meat and supplement the meal with a salad and vinaigrette or light oil. You can drink a glass of wine with dinner and a bite of dark chocolate for dessert, but be careful not to over-indulge.
Step 4
Drink water throughout the day. Aim to drink eight glasses minimum, although 1 gallon per day is a better goal. Water will help you feel more satisfied throughout the day as well as aiding your digestion.
Step 5
Snack on nuts, fruits and vegetables. Make fruit smoothies or homemade trail mix for something to munch on.
