According to MayoClinic.com, a mole is a cluster of pigmented cells that often appear as small, dark brown spots on the face, though they do take on a range of colors, and can appear anywhere on the body. Luckily, there are some natural treatments that can help to eliminate skin moles without the use of harsh chemicals or surgical excision according to Susan E. Worwood, author of "Essential Aromatherapy: A Pocket Guide to Essential Oils and Aromatherapy."

Step 1

Combine yuzu essential oil, cypress essential oil, ylang ylang essential oil and rosemary essential oil in a jar or bottle with a tight-fitting lid.

Step 2

Add lemon essential oil, lime essential oil and sesame oil.

Step 3

Cover the bottle or jar and shake vigorously for 15 to 20 seconds to combine the ingredients.

Step 4

Pour 1 tbsp. of the mixture onto a clean cotton ball. Allow the oil to soak into the cotton ball for 1 to 2 minutes or until most of the oil is absorbed.

Step 5

Dab the cotton ball on the area being treated. Leave the oil on the skin for 30 minutes without wiping it off.

Step 6

Rinse your skin with cool, clean water. Wash with a gentle soap and apply your regular moisturizer to the area.

Step 7

Use this treatment two times per day, once in the morning and again before bed. Discontinue use if the mixture bothers your skin or causes any type of redness or other discomfort.

Step 8

Keep unused portions of the essential oil mixture in the refrigerator for 90 days or less before discarding it.

Tips and Warnings

  • Essential oils can be purchased through a variety of online retailers like Amazon as well as those that focus in holistic, natural and herbal medicine and skin treatments. Many local health food stores also carry essential oils.
  • This treatment has not been tested by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. While this is quite common among herbal, natural home remedies, consult your doctor if you are concerned about the overall safety of using this treatment, especially if you are taking prescription drugs or using other topical treatments.
