How to Find Makeup Kits

A makeup kit includes a variety of cosmetics, such as eye shadows, lipsticks and foundations. Applicators and brushes, both synthetic and natural, are integrated into most kits. Some people prefer using makeup kits because it keeps products and colors simple and organized. Makeup kits are easy to store because of their compact size. Traveling with a variety of makeup is uncomplicated because many kits are compact and slim in size.

Step 1

Search at local departments and cosmetics stores. Ask if makeup kits can be custom made with specific colors. Shop during holiday seasons when cosmetic specials are common.

Step 2

Visit a local costume shop’s cosmetic department for theatrical makeup. Locate hard-to-find items such as false eyelashes, cosmetic tattoos and unusual makeup colors.

Step 3

Put together a makeup kit by purchasing a makeup carrying case. Ensure the inside of the case can be easily cleaned and wiped of spills. Look for carrying cases that have extra padding. Divide makeup into sections such as daytime, evening and special occasions.
