Review of TomTom ONE 130 GPS Navigation System

The TomTom ONE 130 is a 3.5-inch portable Global Positioning System designed for car navigation. It delivers instructions to the selected destinations through a colorful, moving map display and voice prompts.

Specs

The TomTom ONE 130 measures 2.3 by 3.6 by 0.8 inches and weighs 6.1 ounces. It attaches to the inside of a windshield through the included suction mount. Though discontinued by the manufacturer, this GPS unit was still available at some retailers for about $90 as of August 2010.

Destinations

You can enter a destination by typing an address through the on-screen keyboard. You can also choose from millions of points of interest, or you can select recent destinations or businesses near your current position, such as repair shops and gas stations.

Features

A Help Me button quickly displays local providers of emergency services, such as hospitals and police. The bundled TomTom HOME software controls GPS functions such as updates through your computer system. The optional RDS-TMC traffic receiver displays current traffic conditions for a monthly subscription fee.
