Endomorph body types tend to carry a higher amount of body fat than the average person. According to Bodybuilding website, endomorphs have a soft, round shaped body and find it difficult to lose weight. Focus on eating a balanced diet rich with high fiber foods which create a satiated feeling. Eat smaller, frequent meals to raise your metabolism and provide a steady source of nutrients for your body. Combine your diet program with a consistent exercise regimen to maximize weight loss. Before adopting an exercise routine consult a physician.

Protein

Protein boosts your metabolism while feeding your muscles vital amino acids. Eat lean protein sources such as chicken, fish, turkey, whey protein, shellfish and salmon.

Carbohydrates

Eat a moderate to low level of carbohydrates since an endomorph may tend to store excess carbs as fat. In an article for T-nation website, fitness trainer and former Olympian Christian Thibaudeau recommends that endomorphs eat a diet dominated by protein and fat. Consume complex carbohydrates like green vegetables, oatmeal, whole grains and fruits.

Fat

Fat serves to protect internal organs and serves as a secondary energy source when carbohydrate levels are low. Appropriate fats are olive oil, flax, peanuts, almonds, cashews, canola oil and walnuts.

Water

Drinking water prevents dehydration, flushes waste products out of your body and fights off hunger pangs.
