Women strive to have full lips for aesthetic reasons. Full lips are associated with beauty and glamor and are commonly seen on movie stars. Even in the 19th century, Lord Alfred Tennyson wrote in a poem about the perfect set of lips in "Guinevere." However, not all women are born with a luscious mouth. Turning thin lips into full ones can be achieved by using medications, cosmetics and natural methods. Some methods will actually physically plump the lip, while tricks using lip liner and lip gloss will give the appearance of a full mouth.
Step 1
Visit a dermatologist for collagen or fat injections into the lips. The injections are preformed approximately every three months and give lips a full look. The injection is not permanent and will wear off.
Step 2
Determine if lip implants are an option. Inserting lip implants is known as lip augmentation. A small cut is made into the lip and an artificial implant, or fat deposit, harvested from another part of the body, is inserted.
Step 3
Apply a small amount of cayenne pepper to the lips. Rub onto skin to increase blood flow. Lips will naturally begin to fill out and slightly change in color. Top coat lips with a clear lip gloss.
Step 4
Line lips with a flesh-toned lip liner. Apply a nude or clear lipstick. Add extra gloss to the middle of the lip. The gloss will reflect light and make the lip look fuller.
Step 5
Exfoliate lips using petroleum jelly and a toothbrush. Gently massage lips once a week. Lips will become rosy colored and generate new cell growth.
Step 6
Apply a lip plumper. Look for plumpers in the cosmetics aisle at grocery or department stores. Purchase a brand that has peptides included. Peptides naturally build additional collagen in the lips.
