DDF, which stands for Doctor's Dermatologic Formula, is an exfoliating facial scrub that contains benzoyl peroxide, an acne-fighting ingredient to help clear and prevent blemishes, according to the company. The scrub helps unclog pores and is gentle enough for daily use.

Key Ingredients

Benzoyl peroxide is a popular over-the-counter ingredient to clear and prevent acne blemishes. It kills bacteria and removes dead skin cells to prevent infection and keep pores clear. Pumice stone powder helps exfoliate by sloughing off dead skin cells and help control acne breakouts.

Application

Shake the bottle well and apply the product to wet face. Massage the scrub over your face in a circular motion, avoiding the eye area. Rinse thoroughly and then pat your skin dry.

Considerations

Benzoyl peroxide causes sun sensitivity so it's best to apply a sunscreen product with an spf of at least 15 if going outdoors. It also has been known to cause dryness and irritation. If this occurs, reduce frequency of use.

Cost

DDF Pumice Acne Scrub retails for $35 for an 8.45 oz. package as of August, 2010.
