True Fitness, founded by the Trulaske brothers, has been in business for over 29 years. Their line of residential treadmills are some of the more expensive on the market. As of August 2010, the current line of True treadmills ranges in price from $2400 to $6000. Calibration of your True treadmill will ensure the speed and incline settings are accurate. True recommends calibrating your machine any time you move it or if any internal service is performed.

Step 1

Stand on the foot rails along the sides of the walking belt. Remove the safety key from the console.

Step 2

Press and hold the incline up and down buttons until "CALIBRATION" appears on the screen.

Step 3

Press "Start." The treadmill will automatically cycle through to the maximum speed and incline and then cycle down to zero.

Step 4

Wait for "CALIBRATION SUCCESSFUL" to display. If this does not appear, repeat steps two and three. If the calibration fails again, you will need to contact your dealer for service.
