If you're looking for a well-known chain of family parks, Yogi Bear Jellystone Parks are a good place to start. These parks are known throughout the nation, especially in the state of Texas. Various Yogi Bear parks accommodate Houston, Dallas and San Antonio, three major cities in Texas.

Geography

Rustic Creek Ranch is the Burleson Texas Yogi Bear Park. According to the directions that the park provides, it is just minutes south of Dallas & Fort Worth on I-35W. If you head 35 miles just northwest of Houston, you'll run into the Lonestar Yogi Bear Park. Going 35 miles north of San Antonio will bring you to the Hill Country Yogi Bear Park. All three of these Yogi Bear Jellystone Parks provide a spacious and wholesome family environment.

Size

The Rustic Creek Yogi Bear Park is situated on 69 acres and is one of the largest Jellystone parks in Texas. It has 248 full RV hookup sites, in addition to 37 quaint little cottages. Lonestar Yogi Bear Park has 111 full-service RV sites and 42 sites that are just water and electric. Lonestar also has 52 cabin rentals. The Hill Country Yogi Bear Park sits on 27 acres and has 148 RV sites with full hookups. The parks also have cottages, cabins and other accommodations.

Features

All the Yogi Bear Jellystone Parks have an abundance of healthy activities to participate in. Some of them include hiking, swimming and picnicking in the spacious and scenic park surroundings. Picnic tables, barbecue pits, volleyball courts and basketball courts are all available for your family's pleasure. You're also likely to find nature trails, miniature golf, tennis courts and lots of playgrounds and shaded areas. Park basics include showers, restrooms and laundry facilities. Additional amenities typically available at all three Texas parks are cable TV, Wi-Fi and laundry facilities.

Types

Yogi Bear Jellystone Parks have something for everyone, no matter what type of recreation you're seeking. The Rustic Creek Park provides the excitement of the nearby Texas Motor Speedway or the Rangers Ballpark at Arlington. Hill Country Park offers fishing, kayaking, canoeing and other water activities on the nearby Guadalupe River and Canyon Lake. The Lonestar Yogi Bear Park has a petting zoo you can take the kids to visit, as well as the Yogi Bear outdoor movie theater.

Facts

The rates for cottages, cabins, RV sites and tent camping all vary at the different parks. Rates are also dependent on the time of season, the number of guests and the length of stay. For example, cottage rates at the Hill Country Park range from $109 to $174 depending on the day of the week and the season. The park posts details that its cottage rate is for only four guests, with additional people $12 per person, per night. Lonestar cabins range from $67 to $147 per night, with a $7 additional guest fee (per night). Rates for the Rustic Creek's RV sites start at $29 per day and $174 weekly. Its additional guest fee, per night, is only $6. Different refund and cancellation policies also apply at each park.
