You can use a neck wrap to ease sore muscles in the neck, back and shoulders. You can easily make a wrap using a towel, flax seeds and dried lavender. Store wraps in a plastic bag to keep the lavender scent strong, and the neck wrap free of debris. Creating the wrap takes less than 15 minutes.

Step 1

Fold a hand towel in half vertically. Sew together two sides of the towel, leaving the third side open.

Step 2

Fill the towel with a 50/50 mixture of flax seeds and dried lavender---approximately 2 cups of each ingredient. You can use rice as a filler, if necessary. Do not fill the towel completely full. Allow the bag to have some movement. Sew the remaining side closed.

Step 3

Place the wrap in a plastic bag while not in use. Store wrap in the refrigerator to create a cold neck wrap. Make a warm neck wrap by heating the bag in the microwave for 15 second increments---until desired heat is reached.

Step 4

Rest the neck wrap around your neck, relax and enjoy both the aromatherapy of lavender and comfort of the flax seeds.
