To enjoy your walking or workout program, and reap the maximum benefits, you must select the proper footwear. Choosing the right athletic shoe can be tricky, as many makes and models are available. Although walking does not stress the joints as running does, footwear made specifically for walking will help you stay injury free over the long term and put you on the right path toward your fitness goals.

Ecco Biom Walk

Walking Shoe Reviews, a website dedicated to reviewing athletic walking shoes, listed the Ecco as a top 10-walking shoe. The 760 is loaded with New Balance technologies throughout the shoe, such as New Balance's Walking Strike Path, designed to stabilize feet through the natural gait cycle. Forefoot Flex Grooves give the shoe flexibility, and synthetic and mesh uppers provide lightweight comfort and support.
