The South Beach Diet

The South Beach Diet is a low carbohydrate diet program that is split into three phases. The first phase is meant to rid your body of cravings and is the most strict of the phases. While on this phase, you eliminate all sugar and most forms of carbohydrate from your diet. Most of the carbs that your body receives while on this two week phase should be from vegetables. After two weeks, you move to the second phase, which helps regulate speed of weight loss and reintroduces some healthy carbs. You remain on this phase until you reach your goal weight and then you move on to the third phase, or the maintenance phase. Expect to lose 8 to 13 lbs in your first two weeks, and 1 to 2 lbs a week after that.

Nutrisystem

Nutrisystem is a home diet delivery program. On this diet, you consume pre-packaged foods that are delivered to your home each month. You will eat three small meals and one snack each day. Your program will be selected based on your current weight and goals, and the food sent will contain the right amount of calories each day to support healthy weight loss. If you are able to stick to the diet fairly strictly, you can expect to lose about 12 lbs in one month. This program is a smart choice for those leading a very busy lifestyle.
