Drinking the latest diet shake is not the only method to lose weight quickly. Shakes do not provide all the nutrients that you need to lose weight and keep it off. Fill your kitchen with healthy natural foods and clean out all of the processed snacks that sabotage your success. Invest time in a regular workout regime. Make healthy lifestyle changes and watch the pounds fall off your body to reveal a toned physique.
Step 1
Perform circuit training with dumbbells four times per week to boost your metabolism and burn more fat. Perform one strength training exercise per body part for 4 sets of 10 to 12 repetitions. Do 1 minute of cardio, like jogging on the treadmill, after every exercise. Challenge yourself with heavy resistance; the last few repetitions of every exercise should be difficult.
Step 2
Eat whole foods in their natural form. Consume low-fat proteins to help build and repair muscles. Eat complex carbohydrates, colorful vegetables and fruits to keep you fuller longer and increase energy levels.
Step 3
Keep a journal of all of your meals. Record everything you eat in a notebook or use an online tool like LIVESTRONG's MyPlate or NutritionData.com. To lose 1 to 2 lb. per week, subtract 500 calories per day.
Step 4
Stay away from processed and packaged foods. Processed foods are full of sodium, refined sugars and fats that cause weight gain and water retention.

Have your body fat and measurements taken monthly to track your progress. Have a fitness professional take your measurements and body fat to keep your results accurate.
