The Fastest Way to Lose Weight in Your Thighs

Extra weight in the thigh area is a common problem among men and women. The only way to decrease the amount of weight on your thighs is to lose fat all over your body. Weight training leg workouts along with your existing exercise program will help to quickly give them some shape and decrease your total body fat percentage. Resistance training and healthy eating habits will result in more toned and slim thighs.

Step 1

Clean up your eating habits. Avoid processed and manipulated foods that are high in fat, refined sugars and sodium that cause weight gain and bloating. Eat natural foods like fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean proteins to build muscle and increase your metabolism.

Step 2

Perform HIIT or high intensity interval training four days per week. Walk on the treadmill for two minutes and then run for one minute. Alternate your speed for 30 minutes.

Step 3

Perform lunges. Stand in a split stance with both feet facing forward and dumbbells at your side. Lower yourself down until your front thigh is parallel to the ground with your knee over your ankle. Press up and return to the starting position. Repeat for three sets of 15 repetitions.

Step 4

Perform squats. Start with your feet shoulder width apart holding a dumbbell in each hand at your side. Sit your hips back until your thighs are parallel to the ground. Keep your knees over your ankles. Press yourself back up to the starting position while driving your weight through your heels. Repeat for three sets of 15 repetitions.
